ELKO - A dental office worker who told sheriff's deputies she was burning out-of-date medical files at the request of her employer was issued a citation for unlawful dumping Friday night. A deputy saw a column of smoke at about 10 p.m. and drove to the fire where he found medical files burning from the Dufurrena and White dental office, Deputy Sean Murphy said. A woman approached him and told him she is employed by the dental office and was tasked with disposing the files, he said.
